Traditional dyes such as fluorescein or TAMRA are often hampered by low photostability and/or low hydrophilicity. Both however are critical parameter for detection sensitivity and bioconjugate solubility, respectively.
AF-Dyes (also known as Alexa Fluor® dyes) are hydrophilic fluorescent dyes with remarkable photostability. We now offer both functionalized AF-Dyes and AF-Dye – nucleotide conjugates. CLICK AF-Dyes are routinely used for Click Chemistry – based labeling.
