A 1 x concentration of PBS (Phosphate buffered saline) Buffer contains:
8.01 g/l NaCl
0.2 g/l KCl
1.78 g/l Na₂HPO₄·2H₂O
0.27 g/l KH₂PO₄
The Buffer is used for cell culture applications since it is isotonic and non-toxic to cells.
