Protein Prenyl Transferases

Protein prenylation is an important post-translational modification that facilitates membrane association and regulates the localization and function of many signaling proteins, including small GTPases. Farnesyltransferases and geranylgeranyltransferases therefore play key roles in cellular signaling and are important tools and targets in biochemical and biomedical research.

Our portfolio includes recombinant Farnesyltransferase (FTase), Geranylgeranyltransferase I (GGTase I) and Geranylgeranyltransferase II (GGTase II), as well as Rab Escort Protein 1 (REP1) and REP2, providing key components for studying protein prenylation and related signaling pathways.
