SYBR DNA Stain is a superior DNA staining dye for DNA analysis in gel electrophoresis applications. Upon binding to DNA, the non-fluorescent dye becomes highly fluorescent allowing the detection of lowest DNA amounts. The product provides highest convenience during routine handling and avoids commonly used gel staining procedures with Ethidium Bromide.
SYBR DNA Stain is supplied as 11x concentration. Vortex SYBR DNA Stain thoroughly prior to its use. Add SYBR DNA Stain to your PCR sample as shown in the table below. Load the sample into the gel and run electrophoresis.
Simply select the optical setting for Ethidium Bromide or SYBR® Green on the detection instrument. SYBR DNA Stain is compatible with UV transilluminators (excitation 254 nm), gel readers with visible light excitation (blue LEDs) or laser-based gel scanners (excitation 488 nm).
Add the following amounts of 11x conc. SYBR DNA Stain to your PCR product before loading into the gel:
