If microscopically indicated remove cargo from outside of cell membrane (proteoglycane scaffold) with heparin (0.1 %), which is dissolved in PBS or glycine buffer.
Because of its polarity and large molecular size Heparin poorly crosses cell membranes. Heparin has been traditionally used as an anticoagulant.
