(1) Crystal Dehydration and Salvage Kit – The most powerful post-crystallization treatment!
|
| |
Dehydration Salts and the Crystal Dehydration and Salvage Kit have been designed for an easy, controlled and reliable way to dehydrate protein crystals and thus provide an efficient tool for altering / improving their diffraction properties.
Removing the excess solvent...
- ...will tighten the packing of protein molecules and reduce the size of solvent channels
- ...may improve crystal order and thus diffraction resolution
- ...will make successful flash cooling easier, especially for crystals with large initial solvent contents
- ...can induce structural transformations in proteins, yielding alternative crystal packings that may be difficult or impossible to achieve directly during crystal growth
Do you want to know more about this efficient - though neglected - method?

(2) MRC Maxi Plate – Straightforward optimization in a 48-well sitting drop plate
|
| |
The MRC Maxi plate is an optimization plate in a 48 well format, designed by the MRC Cambridge.
The plate offers large sitting drop wells and is compatible both with standard robotic systems as well as manual pipetting. It complements the original MRC crystallization plate, which is intended for smaller drop volumes and higher throughput during screening.
Features:
- very rigid, automation-friendly plate design (SBS standard)
- the optically superior polymer is UV transmissible
- wide partition wall between the wells give plenty of area for good sealing with tape
- micro numbering readable under the microscope for each well
- raised wells make crystal mounting very easy

(3) UVP Micro Channel Chip – Intermix smallest liquid volumes within milliseconds!
|
| |
Exploit the benefits of counter diffusion in crystallization experiments using the new SWISSCI UVP Micro Channel Chip.
Main features:
- several channels on one chip
- made of transparent plastic - X-ray compatible
- simple channel geometry for first results
- slide format - SBS use in multiples of 4 units
- useful in both screening and optimization of crystallization experiments
- wide applications include chromatographic separation of biological molecules

(4) UVP Hanging Drop MRC Plate Seal – Use your MRC plates for hanging drop experiments!
|
| |
The new revolutionary SWISSCI Hanging Drop Crystallization Plate Seal comes ready to use with dust free protective coating and specialty polymer base.
The Seals accommodate up to 3 separate drops of protein and fit the standard 2 drop - or 3 drop MRC plates.
The product has a 100 micron thin layer of UVP specialty polymer developed for compact drop creation and ability to shoot X-ray without any noticeable diffraction.
Check www.jenabioscience.com/cms/en/1/catalog/287/ for more information on this and other plate sealing tapes!
