    (1) Crystal Handling Kit – Acquire skills in crystal handling
   


The Crystal Handling Kit will help you to acquire skills in protein crystallization and will guide you to set up a hanging drop experiment including tips and tricks on crystal mounting using MiTeGen's MicroMounts.


Each kit contains:

  • 4 proteins (Lysozyme, Lipase B, Xylanase and Proteinase K)
  • optimized solubilization and crystallization buffers for each protein
  • MicroMounts™ and Goniometer Bases, as well as
  • a user manual with instructions for protein crystallization using the hanging-drop vapor diffusion method and crystal mounting by MiTeGen's MicroMounts™

    (2) CrystalHarp™ Plate – Crystal growth, optimization and in-situ X-ray diffraction in one plate!
   



The CrystalHarp™ SBS format plate contains 48 capillaries allowing broad screening of variables based on capillary diffusion. It allows crystal screening and optimization as well as the addition of additives and cryoprotectants.

Once you have obtained crystals, individual capillaries can be easily mounted to standard magnetic bases, enabling in-situ diffraction analysis.


Advantages:

  • capillary diffusion offers a broad variable screen in one experiment
  • in-situ diffraction analysis
  • unique capillary material allows data collection at room temperature
  • cryoprotectants or derivatives for phasing studies can be easily added after crystal appearance
  • flash-freezing in a liquid nitrogen stream (with or without the use of cryoprotectants) is also feasible
  • SBS format enables the usage of the plate directly on beam line robots

    (3) Lipidic Cubic Phase (LCP) Screening Kit – The ready to use plate for LCP membrane protein crystallization
   

The Lipidic Cubic Phase Screening Kit enables LCP screening to be performed accurately and with ease - using manual or automated systems to complete the delivery of the solutions.

The Lipidic Cubic Phase Screening Kit contains:

  • a base plate with a low tack 700 µm thickness slide and a top sealing tape of 100 µm
  • a brown ready to remove cover sheet
  • a separate 200 µm UVP cover film with protective dust cover
  • a plate leveling device


Features:

  • unique polymer to ensure that UV visualization is not compromised by polarization
  • easy sealing with dry tabbed adhesive tape and thin UVP cover film
  • unique low tack plate security allows for the sandwich plate to be removed from the base plate when required – in-situ X-ray data collection and structure determination is then enabled
  • SBS standard

    (4) Crystal Former™ XL – Let microfluidics work for you!
   

The Crystal Former™ XL has the same great advantages as the Crystal Former™ chips. With wider channels, it is ideal for optimization and crystal growth.

Just like its small sibling, the Crystal Former™ XL consists of 16 reaction channels, each providing access to two inlets for loading protein and precipitant solutions. The channels are covered by a thin removable foil and crystals can be harvested directly from the chip.
