(1) MicroLoops LD™ – the world's most advanced loop design
|
| |
The world's most advanced loop design for X-ray crystallography and microsample manipulation. Ideal for microcrystals and for retrieving samples from sub-microliter drops and from microfluidic cards. Computer-optimized MicroLoops LD combine the advantages of Mitegen's microfabricated loop technology with the low drop disturbance provided by nylon loops. Long thin necks minimize liquid and crystal motions during crystal harvesting, and reduce turbulence in cold gas streams. Thick polymer in the neck and base regions maintains rigidity and minimizes loop motion in cold gas streams. Thin polymer in the loop region ensures the lowest possible background X-ray scatter

(2) MicroLoops E™ – loops with elongated apertures
|
| |
MicroLoops E™ have elongated apertures, suitable for retrieving needle or rod-shaped samples. The small fingers projecting into the aperture gently support your sample, and allow each aperture to be used with a wider range of sample sizes. Choose between horizontal, vertical or inclined apertures. Horizontal aperture loops can be used to gently scrape samples off the bottom of a well. Inclined apertures improve crystal orientation for more efficient data collection.

(3) MicroGrippers™ – a new approach to retrieving and mounting samples
|
| |
MicroGrippers™ provide a new approach to retrieving and mounting samples. Slide the tip under your sample, and the long thin flexible fingers will provide the most delicate support possible. Ideal for thin plates. Alternatively, push the tip down onto a "chunky" sample, and the fingers will gently grip it without damaging it. Ideal for X-ray data collection at and near room temperature, MicroGrippers eliminate sample slippage, and allow samples to be mounted and shipped at room temperature.

(4) Indexed MicroMeshes™ – featuring index marks and numbers
|
| |
Indexed MicroMeshes™ have index marks and numbers, making it easier to locate (and then to relocate) a given sample on the 25 micron opening mesh. Identify the most promising samples on your home microscope, and then easily find them again, e.g., at a microfocus X-ray source. Additional diagonal tabs allow the front/back orientation of the mesh and a sample's position on the mesh to be uniquely determined in only a 100 μm field of view. The flat top of the 300/25-IN1 design makes it easier to scrape/scoop samples off of the bottom of a well or slide.

(5) MicroTools™ – soft & flexible tools for all common sample manipulation and measurement needs
|
| |
Soft, flexible tools for all your common sample manipulation and measurement needs. Kit 2 contains tools for common sample manipulations: MicroSieves™, MicroSpoons™, MicroLassos™, MicroTips™ and MicroChisels™. Kit 3 contains MicroRulers™ and MicroProtractors™ for sample measurements.

(6) LV CryoOil™ – a stable low viscosity oil for removing the solvent around your crystal prior to flash cooling
|
| |
LV CryoOil™ is a low viscosity, low surface tension, chemically and thermally stable perfluoropolyether oil for removing the solvent around your crystal prior to flash cooling and for protecting your crystal from dehydration and oxidation.
The low viscosity yields a very thin, weakly diffracting final coating. Using this oil and the hyperquenching cooling protocol, most crystals can be successfully flash cooled without using penetrating cryoprotectants.
