A large number of purine and pyrimidine nucleotide analogs interfere with cellular processes such as cell proliferation and protein or DNA synthesis. Their interaction with DNA and the associated cytotoxicity are widely used in the treatment of malignant tumors.

Jena Bioscience has launched a new section of CYTOSTATIC NUCLEOTIDE ANALOGS!

Check out our cytostatic nucleotide analogs at:

http://www.jenabioscience.com/cms/en/1/catalog/1197/

including:

Gemcitabine triphosphate (JBS Cat.No. NU-1607)      more...

Gemcitabine triphosphate is incorporated into DNA, resulting in inhibition of DNA synthesis and induction of apoptosis.

Cytarabine triphosphate (JBS Cat.No. NU-1170)      more...

Cytarabine triphosphate blocks DNA polymerase via competition with deoxycytidine triphosphate, resulting in the inhibition of DNA synthesis.

    6-Methyl-thioinosine-5'-triphosphate (JBS Cat.No. NU-1133)      more...

6-Methyl-thioinosine-5'-triphosphate has anti-neoplastic and anti-angiogenic properties. It inhibits amido-phosphoribosyl-transferase as well as fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2)-induced cell proliferation.

    5-Fluoro-2'-deoxyuridine-monophosphate (JBS Cat.No. NU-153)      more...

The fluorouracil metabolite 5-Fluoro-2'-deoxyuridine-monophosphate (5F-dUMP) competes with uracil to bind with thymidylate synthetase (TS) and the folate cofactor. This results in decreased thymidine production and therefore decreased DNA synthesis and repair, and ultimately decreased cell proliferation.
