Biotin-labeled dUTPs/ dCTPs are widely used for non-fluorescent/non-radioactive labeling of DNA, RNA, and oligonucleotides. Nick translation, random priming or PCR can be used to produce double-stranded biotinylated probes, while run-off polymerization, asymmetric PCR or primer extension will produce single-stranded biotinylated probes.
