PI 3-Kinase Family - Substrates
Phosphoinositide lipids serve as substrates for phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3Ks) that are capable of phosphorylating their 3' hydroxyl group. This process of generating lipid second messengers regulates numerous biological processes including cell growth, differentiation, survival, proliferation, migration and metabolism.
