The LEXSinduce2 Expression Kit yielded the highest expression levels of target proteins obtained so far. Protein expression in the engineered LEXSY host T7-TR is efficiently regulated by the well-known T7 RNA polymerase/TET repressor architecture. High-level transcription is induced by addition of tetracycline to the growth medium. The standard kit contains the vector pLEXSY_I-neo2 for selection of LEXSY T7-TR expression strains with the antibiotic LEXSY Neo.

Besides the neo marker, a vector with ble marker for selection with the antibiotic LEXSY Bleo is available. Expression vectors with both alternative markers can be introduced into the same cell for coexpression of two proteins.
