Chief Executive Officer

Mathias studied Chemistry at the University of Dortmund, University College London and the University of Adelaide.

He spent his graduate research at the EMBL Heidelberg & MPI Dortmund and continued his research at post-doc positions at the Max-Planck-Institute for molecular Physiology (MPI Dortmund) and at Harvard University (Cambridge).

In 2002 he joined The Boston Consulting Group with a focus on biotech, health care, and financial projects before moving full time to Jena Bioscience as CEO/CFO in 2003. Mathias is one of the founders of Jena Bioscience in 1998.
