Third Jena Team Run-Part II
Our special thanks go to our kids team “Firebolt”.
Although it was pouring with rain, these boys bravely fought their way to a very good result: They were faster than many adult teams!

Jena Bioscience employees are sporty! Some of them gave proof of that at this year’s Jena Team Run event which is a relay of 3 x 2 km.
The appearance fees of every team are donated to charity organizations, this year the Jena association for the Children of Chernobyl was supported.
Our three teams “Young and sexy”, “Indian Summer” and “Firebolt” did a good job-all of them belonged to the first 50% of 150 teams.
Our Team “Indian Summer”
While the teams were burning out themselves, their colleagues had a few drinks and of course kept their fingers crossed!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Jena Bioscience, Happy Birthday to you!
On April 27, 1998, Jena Bioscience was listed in the German register of companies. At that time there were four founders, one employee, one government grant and the idea to develop a novel protein expression system.
Ten years later:
We have 24 employees, an annual turnover amounting to millions of Euros, more than 3.000 products, more than 30 distribution partners, sales to 50+ countries worldwide and that novel protein expression system is patent-protected.
That’s not bad! We’re looking forward to the next 10 years!
The joint annual conference of the Association for General ans Applied Microbiology (VAAM) and the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM) took part in Frankfurt this year.
We enjoyed the interesting talks with the scientists & students at our booth and of course the party in the Casino at Grueneburgpark.
As usual, the participants were happy about our give-aways. Someone must have liked our ballpoint pens extremely-he or she took our whole stock that was in a cardboard box under our booth table ![]()
This made me think about how much you like our give-aways. Are you happy with tube floaters, sticky notes and ballpoint pens or do you think there is something else that could be a great freebee? Please let me know: sibylle.bauer at jenabioscience.com.
The conference took place at Frankfurt University/Campus Grueneburgpark
Account Manager Dominik at our booth

We say sorry to all of you who didn’t get a ballpoint pen from us!
Find out where you can get one on our website!
The annual Meeting of the German Society for Crystallography took part in Erlangen this year.
Jena Bioscience had a booth at the industry exhibition and sponsored the poster prizes.
Thomas and Astrid took nice conference pictures - if you want to watch the slide show, you have to click here.
After years of taking our team pictures with snapshot cameras in front of the Jena Bioscience building, we felt that it was time for photos taken by a photographer. You can find the result in our new “About us”- section on our website.

If so, I’ve got good news for you: We will brush up the About us section on our website this spring. In a few weeks time, you will find up-to-date pictures and also some information about every colleague in this section.
